Hello, and Welcome to HJ CODY! I started my EA career working on a Hutterite Colony east of Red Deer. Upon reflection, I was not certain the job would be a good fit for me, but after 2 years working at a group home facility with high risk behavioral kids I figured I would give it a try. That was just shy of 20 years ago, and I have never looked back.  I have had the privilege of working in Wolf Creek, Red Deer Public and Chinooks Edge school divisions. In those positions I primarily worked in the Alternative programs to support both special education and high risk students. 

I took a long break from the education world to raise my two beautiful babies but returned to work 5 years ago on a part time basis. I am know entering my fourth year as a Full-Time EA at HJ Cody and I absolutely love my job. I get the honor of working with students each and every day. My hope as an EA is to provide an authentic and caring relationship with students, which leads to creating a passion for life long learning and a skill set to journey on to the next chapter of their lives after high school.
