"Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life.” - Rachel Carson
This year I will be teaching Science 10 & 30, Palaeontology 15, Physics 20, and Physics 30. I have a BSc in Biology/Chemistry, a BEd in Secondary Science, and have been teaching secondary sciences for 22 years.
I was born and raised in central Alberta and currently live in Red Deer with my wife Tina, daughter Havana, and son Jack. My interests include nerding out about science, table-top gaming, hiking, fossil hunting, scuba diving, and waterskiing.
My goal is to create an academic atmosphere where students take ownership of their education and become life-long learners. My hope is that students develop a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them and develop the critical-thinking and problem-solving skills that scientists use and apply these skills to everyday life.
"You are capable of more than you know. Choose a goal that seems right for you and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honorably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist. The world needs all you can give." -E.O.Wilson
