CONGRATULATIONS TO ABBY DESORMEAU!

Abby Desormeau, along with her dedicated teammates, proudly represented Team Alberta at the 2025 U18 Canadian Curling Championships. The prestigious event took place in Saskatoon, SK, from February 14th to the 23rd at the Nutana Curling Club. 

The team demonstrated teamwork during the round robin play, achieving an impressive record of 6-0. They triumphed over strong teams from British Columbia, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Northern Ontario, and two formidable teams from Prince Edward Island. 

The semi-final playoff game was a close contest before they scored  7 points in the 7th end, ultimately leading to a 10-2 victory. 

The Gold medal game was a thrilling encounter between the only two undefeated teams. In a gripping seesaw battle, Nova Scotia emerged victorious with a narrow 8-7 win.  

Despite the close defeat, Abby and her team were deeply honored to have represented Alberta and clinched the Silver medal for their province.
